This six bedroom children's home replaces an existing dwelling and is currently under construction.

​

The aim was provide a safe and welcoming home for the residents who are high-risk looked-after children. The building seeks to to retain a domestic scale and residential appearance to blend in with the immediate context. To achieve this the massing is split into two house sized components with gables facing the main road.

The ground floor planning is based around an open plan overlooked social space overlooking the garden. The bedrooms are laid out to suit modular construction. One self contained flat is included to help those transitioning to independent adult life.
